Bury the Blues with Blueberries
Blueberries keep you fresh, active, fit, sharp, close to nature and in a good mood, as they are good anti depressants.
Resveratrol has antidepressant and anti-anxiety agents which contain monoamine oxidase inhibitors. Resveratrol will increase your stamina and give you a shot of energy enabling you to athletically perform better.
In a US Department of Agriculture (USDA) laboratory at Tuft’s University in Boston, researchers have found that blueberries rank #1 in antioxidant activity when compared to 40 common fresh fruits and vegetables. Blueberries have the highest antioxidant capacity of all fresh fruit, and thus have the highest capacity to destroy free radicals. Blue Berries are very rich in anti oxidants like RESVERATROL, anthocyanin, vitamin C, B complex, vitamin E, vitamin A, copper, selenium, zinc and iron. They boost up your immune system and prevent infections. Medical research has also proven that resveratrol can act as an anti-inflammatory agent.
A University of Michigan Cardiovascular Center study suggests that blueberries may help reduce belly fat and risk factors for cardiovascular disease and metabolic syndrome. Resveratrol will boost your metabolism and suppress your appetite aiding you in your weight loss goals. It also helps promote healthy urinary tract function, preserves vision, proper brain and heart function, and reduces the risks associated with cancer.
The findings suggest that resveratrol may contribute to the inhibition of primary tumor growth and metastasis to distant organs through the inhibition of DNA synthesis of tumor cells by resveratrol.
Harvard researchers believe they’ve discovered a proverbial ‘fountain of youth’. They’re talking about resveratrol, a powerful antioxidant found in blueberries, calling it a miracle ingredient, and the greatest discovery since antibiotics. There is evidence that resveratrol can extend lifespan. It also helps you lose weight, is anti-fungal, antiviral and acts as an anti-biotic, and helps you maintain a healthy brain. “We have something that extends the life of every species it’s given to,” said David Sinclair, a researcher at Harvard Medical School.
Remember, the deeper the color of the Blue Berries, the more they are rich in anti oxidants and other medicinal values.
Resveratrol is a broad name of a product that is available in various purities (e.g. 5%, 10%, 20%, 50%, 99%, etc.). Pure resveratrol contains only trans-resveratrol, the beneficial substance in resveratrol. Low purity resveratrol products contain low amounts of trans-resveratrol and high amount of CIS-resveratrol and Emodin,, which has no health benefits.
